• The Gourmet card was introduced for our private customers, because it is possible to shop in our stores even as a private person, during the entire opening hours of our stores. We can make the Gourmet card available to our private customers in digital form. To apply for the card, you need a smartphone or other portable smart device to which you can download the Metro Companion mobile application. The application process starts with registration, and after entering the digital account, it is possible to apply for the card. If you already have a Plastik Gourmet card, you can scan it into your account. After January 1, 2026, our customers with a Gourmet card will only receive invoices in digital form, and our company will no longer issue paper invoices. The electronic version of the invoices can of course be found in the digital branch, so the invoice issued using the card in the branch can be downloaded as a pdf file at any time. For our customers with a Gourmet customer card, the prices of the products are not visible in the digital account, neither in the MCompanion mobile application, nor when entering the account from our website. This function is available for our business partners.
• With the Gourmet card, our company provides our private customers with the same prices and discounts as our business partners. A purchase with this type of card is automatically considered a private purchase, and during warranty administration, the buyer is considered a consumer.
• The card is valid for 2 years from the last purchase, just like the business card, but if no purchases have been made with the card since it was activated, it will expire after one year. In this case, our employee at the customer service of our stores can revalidate the customer's right upon presentation of the registered person's identity card and residential address card. You can only register a new account and request a new Gourmet card with the same e-mail address if you do not have a business customer card, or if the account associated with the inactive card is terminated.
• For our customers, with whose employer our company has entered into a partnership agreement, it is possible to secure discounts on products if they have a Gourmet customer card and the correct landline phone number of the employer has been recorded for this card type. If this phone number was missed or entered incorrectly when registering the Gourmet card, you must log in to their account using the "Registration/login" button in the upper right corner of the www.metro.hu page, and you can enter and correct it in the "Personal contact details" menu item.
